Knitting Guilds

The Knitting Guild Association

TKGA is a national oraganization of knitters and guilds, which holds regional and national conventions and offers many educational opportunities. Members can take correspondence courses, enroll in the Master Knitting Program and learn knitting techniques online. The Master Knitting Program has advanced beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels in which knitters submit assigned swatches for evaluation and critique. The conventions offer a wide variety of classes taught by nationally known knitters and designers, a market of shops from throughout North America and a banquet and fashion show. TKGA also sponsors design competitions.

The $25.00 annual membership includes a free subscription to Cast On magazine and access to free patterns at TKGA's web site.

The Windy City Knitting Guild

The Windy City Knitting Guild is a membership organization which encourages and fosters knitting in the Chicago area.
